2024 Capper Classic Pickleball Tournament and An Evening for a Child

April 13@7:15am-8:30pm

Lots of people have attended or may have heard about our An Evening for a Child event which is a fun, casual social event that raises funds for children living with disabilities and their families served by Capper Foundation. This year, we have added a new element – the Capper Classic Pickleball Tournament. The tournament will take place during the day followed by An Evening for a Child that same night. One Day…Two Great Events.

Spots still available for our pickleball tournament for 3.0 and 3.5 level mixed doubles team. The 3.0 level players are considered advanced beginners and 3.5 level players are considered to be intermediate.

Following the tournament, we will host An Evening for a Child Pickle Ball with everyone’s favorite An Evening for Child activities including our live auction, feature family introduction, great raffle prizes, field games, and our wine and bourbon boards. Participating in normal field games or learning the basics of how to play pickleball are fun activities and optional. Not into games – then enjoy your time visiting with other guests!

The goal of both events is to raise funds for Pediatrics Services at Capper Foundation including our Children’s Abilities Fund (CAF). This fund is a lifeline for families facing overwhelming financial challenges while raising a child with a disability. It assists families in covering the unreimbursed cost of therapy services, such as high insurance deductibles, copays, additional therapy sessions, and other essential services not covered by Medicaid, commercial insurance, or private pay. Additionally, the CAF bridges the funding gap for program expenses that insurance and other funding sources fail to cover. In the last fiscal year, $958,415 was given to financially assist families and cover unreimbursed costs.

Together, we want to help every child build their abilities and meet their goals like walking independently, and communicating their wants and needs so they can be as independent as possible as they continue to grow up. More details for both events and registration at
