By fostering these connections, I intend to unite and heal our communities, paving the way for a brighter future for all. The show will be located at the Coffee Bar in Topeka, KS. “Audacity and Tenacity” will be an incredible show that illuminates the lives of African Americans in extraordinary moments of courage, joy, and significance. From seemingly mundane tasks that spark core memories to heartwarming experiences that radiate gratitude, this show captures the essence of life’s beautiful simplicity. It celebrates the unsung heroes who have made an indelible impact on our lives, inviting us to share their inspiring stories with the world.
Submission guidelines:
Submission deadline: The artist must submit by December 31, 2023, by midnight via online form. Audacity and Tenacity Submission Form
Requirements:
All fields must be completed! Selection letters will be sent out in January with instructions for your art.
Provide a brief artist statement (limited to 300 words).
Provide a digital image of your work is required; you may submit up to five images (not exceeding 25 MB). You may submit more than one piece of art, up to five total submissions. Due to space, we must limit entries to one per artist.
Size restrictions: (Space is limited):
All mediums are welcome up to 24 x 36 inches.
3-D must not be more than 6 x 6 x 10 inches in height, width, and depth and cannot weigh over 30 lb.
Terms and Conditions: The form must be filled out. Artwork for the show must be suitable for all ages!
