Creative Nature – Block Printing Class

Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for an opportunity to create your own artwork onto a printing block for card making.
Gather your friends and tune into your own Creative Nature at Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures during this Block Printing Class with instruction from Serena Rhodes!
Serena is an experienced artist who creates original block stamps for printing. She loves sharing her art with others and will be a great instructor for our class.
Our theme for this class is Christmas Holiday, although you can create any design you want. Serena will show you examples, provide ideas and show you how to plan, carve and then PRINT CARDS WITH your own design!
Enjoy some time with friends and family in a comfortable environment as you learn how to make your own block stamp. We will be using Soft-Kut Printing blocks which will allow you to carve your own basic design then use it to print as often as you like. In class, each person will be able to print 3 cards and take your leaving with your stamp for future use.
We will provide numerous designs for you to use or to inspire you in your creative process. You can also feel free to bring your own idea or design.
All skill levels are welcome in this Creative Nature activity with a preference for youth to be 12 years old or older.
Included: Instruction, soft-kut block to carve and keep, use of carving tools, ink and 3 cards with envelopes to print onto during class. Additional cards will be available for purchase for you to stamp if there is time or inclination.
