Mental Health in Art & Word: A Multi-Medium Art Show

The Show
Mental Health in Art & Word is an art show organized by the artist Devin Wineinger to spread mental health awareness and to provide encouragement and connection to those currently struggling with mental health. The show’s subject matter includes many aspects of mental health such as deep emotions, dealing with painful life experiences, and coping with mental health disorders. This is a moving must see show!
The show will feature a dozen artist/writers and include 2D and 3D artwork as well as poetry and other writing. The exhibit will be displayed at Amused Gallery from September 1st – September 30th during regular business hours (Wednesday-Saturday 11am-6pm). 15% of proceeds from all artwork sold at the show will be donated to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
The Opening Reception
There will be an opening reception on September 1st from 5pm-9pm (during the First Friday Art Walk). The reception will have refreshments and will be a great time to meet and talk with the featured artists and writers. At 6:30pm there will be a special reading of the show’s written works by their authors. During the reception, the audience will also have a chance to vote for their favorite work of the show, so, make sure to stop by on your First Friday Art Walk tour!
