NOTO Summer Concert Series – Carswell & Hope

The NOTO Summer Concert series is a celebration of music that strives to offer culturally rich experiences for the community through a diverse variety of genres and performers. In addition to regionally acclaimed headlining bands, these concerts also feature a local emerging artist as the opening act. With the intentional focus on a diversity of music performances, the vibe of the NOTO Arts & Entertainment District and the intimate setting of the Redbud Park, these concerts are like none other in our community. The Summer Concert series is planned for five consecutive third Fridays, May through September, 7-10pm. The 2023 NOTO Summer Concert series is proudly presented by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Kansas.
From Lawrence, KS by way of Ireland, Carswell & Hope bring vintage rock sounds and sensibilities together with big harmonies, carefully crafted textures and inventive songwriting. Carswell & Hope were formed in 2012 when Irishman Nick Carswell arrived in Lawrence, Kansas with guitar in hand. He found Jason Slote (drums), Austin Quick (bass/keys) and Jordan Tucker (guitar) and they released their debut LP A Hunger in 2014, accompanied by an Irish tour. Since then, Ryan McCall has completed the line-up on keys, and C&H have built a following in the US Midwest.
