Oil Pastel Nightscape

Oil Pastels are a surprisingly versitile drawing medium and are very approachable for all skill levels. This artist led workshop will walk participants step by step through the process of creating a beautiful oil pastel night sky with silhouetted pine trees. Multiple techniques for working with oil pastels will be explored as well as methods for painting stars with acrylic paint. Come enjoy a relaxed and creative evening in the studio and leave with your own original artwork!
No previous experience with oil pastels is required. All skill levels are welcome to attend!
The $40 workshop will cover:
• Various techniques for blending and layering oil pastels
•Creating an organic spattering of stars with acrylic paint
• Compositional and procedural strategies for developing an image with oil pastels
The $40 workshop fee covers use of the studio space, professional instruction, and the cost of all supplies.
